What makes Sun Valley?

Sun Valley is an area in Central Idaho comprised of four small mountain towns. Sun Valley proper is a network of homes, condos and town homes built around a central hub, known as Sun Valley Village. This is the oldest ski resort in North America, and maintains a certain charm not found in new resort communities. With an equal number of outdoor activities available in all seasons, the resort and it's surroundings have attracted passionate enthusiasts from all around the world to come visit. It seems, most of the year-round residents were once visitors who fell in love with the sense of community and agreeable lifestyle found in this spectacular area.

Sun Valley versus EVERYWHERE

What you will find in the Sun Valley area is everything you would expect to find at one of the world's greatest resorts. What you won't find is the type of 'resort sprawl' found at nearly all other mountain resort communities. In the winter, one of North America's best ski mountains sits due west of town. As close as it can be, with a variety of terrain, both in and out of bounds. Baldy is a skiers mountain. The area also boasts one of the largest groomed network of nordic ski trails in the world. Second to none. Snowshoeing, snowmobiling, backcountry skiing, helicopter skiing, fly fishing, hunting, hot springs, fine dining, shopping and partying- this is a winter wonderland. Truly the best of everything. In the summer, things only get better. While this resort began because of what it offered in the winter season, I think most locals would tell you how the great summer and fall seasons make the area so liveable. Biking, hiking, golfing, camping, backpacking, fly fishing, hunting, concerts, symphonies, community festivals, boating- the summers here are a blast and offer something for everyone.

Real Estate in Sun Valley

The wonderful thing about this area is the variety of properties available. Yes, some of the world's biggest celebrities call Sun Valley home. With Bellevue, Hailey and Ketchum, prices range from affordable to extravagant. There are opportunities for those looking for a primary residence, vacation homes, rental properties and commercial investments.

How I fit here.

I grew up in Michigan, outside of Detroit. When I left home for college, I went to the University of Tennessee to play football. It was in the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee that I fell in love with the lifestyle and beauty of the mountains. After graduating, and a summer fly fishing in Montana, I headed back to Michigan to start a career in Advertising. Seven years in, I realized that I needed to head back towards Montana where I could cast a line more than a few times a year. Well, a friend talked me in to coming to Sun Valley. And I'm glad he did. There is nowhere that offers the combination of community and recreation quite like this area. I love the area, I know the area, I study the market and I have an extensive background in marketing and negotiating contracts.  I pride myself in three areas- market knowledge, hard work and honesty. If I can stay focused on those three things, I figure my clients will get the results and the experience they are looking for.

Over 10 years of experience as a Realtor in the Sun Valley area.  I have been voted in as a Director of the Sun Valley Board of Realtors for 6 years.
